Ukraine Begins the Search for Junior Eurovision 2017!

Ukraine have confirmed their participation in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia in November, and now, the search for their representative has begun! The Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC have begun the search for competitors between the ages of 9 and 14.

The broadcaster allowed potential acts to submit their entries, with the submission period closing on the 7th of August. UA:PBC don’t waste much time, with the semi-final of the selection process taking place on YouTube literally the day after, the 8th of August. The final will take place on the 25th of August.

In total there were 31 participants, who were judged by a professional jury including singer songwriter Svetlana Tarabarova, the 2016 Junior Eurovision participant Sofia Rol, singer Rozhden, singer and actor El Kravchuck as well as director Victor Knysh.

The winner of the show will be decided by the TV viewers via televoting, and also the jury. Stay tuned for more news in the coming weeks!
